Paul Walker

September 12, 1973 – November 30, 2013

Look. I’m not above “low-hanging-fruit” jokes. It would be EASY to make a The Fast and the Furious joke at the expense of Paul Walker. The fact that he was most widely-known for his starring role in the drift-happy street racing film franchise AND happened to die in a souped-up Porsche on a curve well known for high-speed drifting is RIFE with irony. It wouldn’t be right, mind you. But, it WOULD be obvious and lazy. I COULD spend some time researching his early roles in movies like Varsity Blues and She’s All That or write about his charity work…but that would take some effort. Oh, hey, speaking of charities, on November 30, 2013, Paul Walker left a charity event in a Porsche driven by his long-time friend and financial adviser. Shortly thereafter, something not at all ironic happened and now there’s an entry on this blog about him. Hollywood.

Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills – Hollywood Hills, CA

Specific Location

Court Of Liberty, Gardens of Heritage, Semi-Private Garden 393; Walk past the central statue of George Washington, up (south) 2 terraces, then turn left through three garden sections. In the 3rd section, look for a white statue on your left with the name KARAYAN on it. Paul is buried just past this statue on your left. OR just park on Ascension Road at the southern-most sidewalk, enter the garden using this sidewalk and look immediately to your right.
