Kensico Cemetery
This beautiful, rolling cemetery in Westchester County was one of the first “rural” cemeteries founded along the rail lines as smaller ones in New York City began to fill up. It is chock full of a who’s-who of early 20th century artists, performers, athletes and other notable personalities. It is also noted for several sections – including the Actors’ Fund of America and the National Vaudeville Association – devoted specifically aid impoverished artists and their families in affording burials.
